The Austin Children’s Museum (www.austinkids.org)
Great place for children ages 3 months to 13 years.
1. Gymboree: Pick up a free pass at any Gymboree store for a preview of their play classes. GymBabies are classes for kids 0-6 months followed by GymCrawlers for kids 6-12 months. All classes are 45 minutes and offer safe play equipment and a chance for you and your baby to meet other Mother-Baby pairs. There are 3 locations in Austin – Central Austin, Northwest Austin and Round Rock.
2. The Austin Children’s Museum (www.austinkids.org) has loads of programs for kids. Baby Bloomers programs are offered every Monday from 9:30am – 1pm. At Baby Bloomers you and your baby can enjoy the Preschool Playscape area and explore the Museum and its exhibits in a relaxed atmosphere with other families with small children. Baby Bloomers is an informal play and explore time EXCLUSIVELY RESERVED for children under the age of two and their caregivers. Be sure to show up for the sing along at 11:30am! Fees for non-members are $4,50 for the first adult (and $1,50 per additional adult) and $1,50 for all children under 24 months. Prices are lower for Museum members. Call the museum or search their web-site for dates when the program will be held.

Drive on Parmer east, pass 620, on left you will see Ivory Ranch, pass bridge, after bridge, on the first traffic light, turn right to CO174. next right is the entrance to the park – Brusy Creek Lake (it’s on the edge of Cedar Park).

Kindermusik
The Capital Music Center offers music lessons for children from birth to five and a half years. Kindermusik classes are designed to develop your child’s creativity and imagination, cognitive and listening skills as well as foster music appreciation and social interaction. Austin Lyric Opera – Infant and Early Childhood Music
The Austin Lyric Opera offer children’s music lessons through their “Music Together” program. This program is a series of classes featuring music, playful movement activities and instrumental jam sessions for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The class offers a research-based developmentally appropriate music curriculum with emphasis on adult movement and entire families enjoying and making music together. A parent or caregiver must accompany each child to class. The program also offers an “Infant Only Class” which is for 1 semester and offers music activities and materials that are especially for parents of small infants.
